Moto G is unveiled by Motorola in time for the Holidays

Google’s Nexus 5 for 13 days straight has been the best Android phone on the market for the price. Then recently Motorola stepped up and released their Android Smartphone called Motorola Moto G. The following is some of the specifications offered:

  • Android 4.3
  • Camera that is 5 megapixel
  • Storage is 8GB
  • 720p/4.5 inch screen
  • Quad core processor that is 1.2 GHz
  • SIM free $179
  • Storage increased to 16GB $199

Some things you should keep in mind before leaping. The 4G/LTE does not make a mention of any support being offered. This means when looking for fast data options one will use the HSPA+. Some will be hyped until they learn about the data option. The phone also cannot be fully customized like the elder Moxo X, this is the sibling in the U.S. there are a variety of changeable back covers being offered. In January of 2014 the Android 4.4 KitKat will be on the Moto G. Some more details about the phone are a front camera of 1.3 megapixels, video shooting of 720p, 4.0 Bluetooth, and a coating that is water repellant. The Moto G is being released in Ireland, UK, and Brazil first, parts of Europe and Canada, then by 2014 India and the U.S.

The Moto G was being pushed because of the price tag. For those that doubt the phone it will only take holding it to understand this is one solid phone. It feels expensive without the price tag. Hold an expensive phone in one hand and the Moto G in the other and you decide which one feels sturdier. When it comes to the design and shape it resembles the Moto X.

Moto X was huge on customization and Moto G will not be left behind. Snapping off the back cover is easy and there is a variety of other colors that can be snapped on. The memory slot card may not be hiding, but a bundle can be made with the Google Drive 65GB. Motorola claims the battery will stay charged for an entire day, it is not removable. For those that like to juggle the phone only to hear it crashing to the ground there are flip covers being offered? Considering the glass is known as Gorilla Glass hopefully it will with stain from cracking when accidentally being dropped.
