Earlier today, Facebook acquired the rights to Little Eye Labs, an India-based company focused on making development tools for app performance. This means that the app development process can be further advanced and be given additional features that will cater to the mobile audience. Facebook owning Little Eye Labs will mean that they can have the best possible app creation company working on their own website. The deal was supposedly made for up to $15 million, but Facebook is looking to profit from that very quickly. It's possible that Facebook could use this to:

• Improve video service
• Fix their website integration
• Allow more user integration

Something Sensible

A lot of Facebook users should be feeling a sigh of relief at this point. They'll be happy to hear that Facebook is finally going to do something about their app's look and design. Compared to many other websites that have a modern looking, aesthetically pleasing app, Facebook has some catching up to do. Hopefully the acquisition of Little Eye Labs means that progress will be made in the right direction at this point. The Android market users will be especially grateful to have a nice Facebook App to look at.

It's a big company that won't take the risk of losing millions on an otherwise small development company. Instead, they will improve upon the company itself and try to make something unique and exciting out of it. It will be fun to see what new tools get used and what will be incorporated into Facebook in the years to come.
